Approved Social Media Platforms
LinkedIn is a social networking channel primarily designed for the business community. As the world’s largest professional network, LinkedIn’s mission is “to connect the world’s professionals to make them more productive and successful.” LinkedIn is not only an incredibly powerful networking source but a highly effective marketing tool.
Facebook is a social networking platform that allows registered users to connect and share with friends, family, and colleagues. It can also be a powerful marketing and networking tool. As the largest social network in the world, Facebook’s mission is “to give people the power to share and make the world more open and connected.” It can also be a powerful marketing tool.
Instagram is a media-based social network owned by Facebook, focused on showcasing photos and short videos. Users come to Instagram to be inspired and discover things they care about, including content from brands and businesses.
X, formerly known as Twitter, is a social networking channel that allows people to share and receive information through quick, short updates, known as “posts” (formerly known as “tweets”). X’s mission is to “give everyone the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers.”
Set-up and Connect Social Media Accounts

STEP 1
Having an approved LinkedIn profile page is a prerequisite to using any other social channel at National Life. Whether you’re creating a new LinkedIn account or want to use an existing profile – check out our LinkedIn Profile Optimization Guide. Getting your LinkedIn Profile approved is the first step to getting connected to Hearsay, our required social media management and compliance tool.
STEP 2
When you receive compliance approval of your LinkedIn Profile Page you will also receive specific instructions to access Hearsay and connect your approved social channels.
STEP 3
Once your approved LinkedIn profile page is connected to Hearsay, you will have the option to connect other approved social pages or profiles includng Facebook and Twitter. For each social network that you want to post to, review our helpful guides – coming soon.
